Duke Energy Renewables did not release financial terms for the transaction with Kruger Energy, which will oversee construction of the projects.
The facilities are due in service in the fourth quarter.
The 20MW (ac) Seville I and 30MW (ac) Seville II projects are located about 10 miles west of the Salton Sea, a shallow, saline lake in southern California.
