DOE backs 1366 ‘Direct Wafer’ project with $150m guarantee

With a deadline to finalise stimulus-backed loan guarantees looming at the end of the month, the Department of Energy (DOE) has closed a $150m deal in support of wafer manufacturer 1366 Technologies.
