SunPower landed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with PG&E for 210MW of the project – which would be one of the largest photovoltaic plants on earth – in 2008. The companies recently agreed to add the remaining 40MW of planned capacity to the PPA.
The project, on private ranch land in San Luis Obispo County, is to be developed in phases and begin producing power in 2011.
