The legislation was a response to applications totalling 4.5GW submitted through to April for the so-called 60/40 scheme, which offered a fixed power purchase price to PV installations larger than 500kW of DKr0.60/kWh ($0.09/kWh) for a system’s first ten years, falling to DKr0.40/kWh for the next decade. Of the applications, some 3.6GW came from one business.
The surge in applications was exceptional considering that the scheme had previously only underpinned 2.6MW
