Czech politicians have grown increasingly fed up with the country’s exploding solar capacity, which has grown on the back of foreign investors looking to tap the Czech Republic’s overly generous feed-in tariff (FIT).
In addition to the imposition of what industry sources call a draconian FIT reduction next year, the Czech lower house also passed a 26% tax on electricity generated at large-scale solar installations.
