Deliveries have begun to project sites, which the Chinese supplier’s US subsidiary did not name.

"JinkoSolar's strong momentum in the US solar industry is a direct result of our company's dedication to reliability in both module performance and customer support," said Nigel Cockroft, general manager of JinkoSolar US.

Mark Noyes, chief executive of ConEdison Development, highlighted the importance for the developer to continuously improve solar system efficiency in order to remain competitive with other energy sources.

“JinkoSolar's product roadmap and operational excellence are perfect fits for our company," he said.

The company has been rapidly expanding in the US through acquisitions and internal development of utility-scale projects. It now is the fifth largest owner and operator of solar generation capacity in North America.

In an interview last month, Noyes said his company sees both utility-scale PV supply for load-serving entities and the commercial and industrial segment as a strong growth business.

“At the end of the day for large end-customers, their second or third highest cost is energy. When they can go out and secure energy at a fixed price long-term it just makes their business more stable because they can budget more effectively, and drive their businesses in a more predictable manner. I would anticipate there will be a lot more of that,” he said.
