The multi-year supply agreement will see Celestica manufacture crystalline silicon PV modules at its facility in Toronto – also its corporate headquarters – with full production expected this summer. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Recurrent, acquired last year by Sharp, has contracts for 19 projects in Ontario under the province’s feed-in tariff (FIT). The projects represent “many hundreds of million dollars” of investment and about 2,500 jobs.
