The Ontario-based company shipped 244MW of modules in the quarter, an increase of nearly 32% and diversified its sales by geography away from Europe.
North America and Asia each accounted for 12.2% of revenue in the quarter, compared to 5.7% and 5.8%, respectively, in the year-earlier period.
The company’s gross margin of 14.7% was more than two percentage points better than in the first quarter of 2010 on efficiencies gained through in-house cell production.
