Canada cleantech exports now represent more than 1% of the C$1trn ($775bn) global industry. Canadian companies in the sector that are exporters is forecast to grow from 68% in 2013 to 85% in 2015, according to the Alberta-based think tank.
It notes that lack of policy support has begun to take a toll. Canada was the world’s third greatest loser of cleantech market share since 2008.
