The company has established a presence in Vietnam and intends to employ up to 100 people over the coming year, as it negotiates “several megawatt-sized pilot projects with local utilities and stakeholders in Vietnam”.
Cenergy, a unit of BAP Power, is partnering with Vietnamese engineering services provider Ascenx Technologies, for assistance developing a local workforce.
Cenergy business development director Nader Yarpezeshkan says the company’s analysis indicates “that the fluid solar market will expand very quickly beyond China into nearby Southeast Asia countries, where power demand severely outstrips supply and grid parity for Cenergy Power can be reached within one year”.
