The CEC gave the green light at its meeting today. Abengoa's Mojave Solar Project, proposed on 681 hectares of private former ranch land in Harper Dry Lake, San Bernardino County, California, is the first of several major solar thermal projects pending this autumn to begin the process.
The entire project certification process is targeted to take 12 months under normal circumstances.
