Under the agreement, the JV will leverage both partners’ contributions to provide engineering, procurement and construction services for projects featuring BrightSource’s solar power tower technology in China.
The initial two project proposals would include thermal energy storage. Construction will begin in 2015 with commercial operation in 2017.
The facilities would be part of the first phase of the Qinghai Delingha Solar Thermal Power Generation Project.
