Earlier this year the developers of 760MW worth of projects won in the 2014 solar tender sought a two-year extension to the start-date of their PPAs, to 2019.

Among those requesting extensions were foreign players like Canadian Solar, FRV and Cobra, and local companies like Renova Energia, Rio Alto and Inharé Solar.
