The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) identified 19 renewable energy projects on or adjacent to federal lands that will receive extra focus from agency staff and resources this year. They represent more than 2.6GW in potential nameplate capacity and include nine solar projects (four of which, representing nearly 1.3GW, would use thin-film PV), five wind projects and five geothermal projects in five Western states -- though the majority are concentrated in California.
