Solon, which manufacturers solar panels and develops utility-scale solar arrays, swallowed an operating loss of €195m ($266m) last year. Revenues collapsed 57%, from €815m to €354m.
One of the two government committees whose approval is needed to grant state aid has already signed off on the package, while the second is expected to do so next week, according to the Berliner Morgenpost.
