The prices are among the lowest received by US electric utilities for any solar power contract solicitation.
This compares with slightly under 5 cents per kWh for 150MW of solar power over a 25-year period that the Austin City Council agreed to pay Recurrent Energy in March 2014. It is less than one-third the 16 cents per kWh it is paying for 30MW from the Webberville project, a deal signed in 2008.
