The company claims that its new 95-100W Solacis neo CIS modules are the world's lightest glass-substrate thin-film panels, weighing 8kg. Mass production is set to start at its Miyazaki No. 2 plant in October, with initial shipments scheduled to begin in November.
The subsidiary of Showa Shell has also added an upgraded 170W module to its core panel line-up. Production of the 170W upgrade is already under way.
