The last of more than 1.3 million First Solar modules was added at the 102MW Nyngan Solar Plant in New South Wales.
The US thin-film giant is building Nyngan for AGL under an EPC deal. The plant, which began exporting its first power in March, will be brought fully online over the next two months.
The end of module installation came as AGL said it will close all its existing coal-fired generation capacity by the middle of the century under a “measured process of decarbonisation”.
