The deal covers the full nameplate capacity of Sempra US Gas & Power’s Mesquite Solar 3 PV project to be located 60 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona. Construction is scheduled to begin this month with commercial operation in December 2016.
Financial terms of the deal, which was brokered by Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), a federal agency, were not made public.
