“At the end of 2014, state power company Cemig said it would hold auctions and it is still the intention of this [new] government and Cemig's CEO Mauro Borges Lemos to hold the auction, probably in October and November,” said Gil Pereira, a legislator in the state who presides over the legislative body's energy commission.

He said that after the auction, the winning bidders will have to conclude construction of the projects in two years.
