The new strategy has two components. First, the company is going to shift its portfolio approach from one that drops almost all projects into yieldcos to one that is flexible with more balanced distribution to “warehouses” and third-party sales.

Chief executive Ahmad Chatila says this will allow SunEdison to both satisfy commitments to its yieldcos and “optimize” value.  

“Both Terra Form and TerraForm Global have sufficient projects in their call rights.
