Ivanpah, the world's largest concentrating solar power plant since it was switched on in early 2014, has struggled to get fully up to speed, generating significantly less electricity than expected in its first year of operation.
The 392MW Ivanpah, comprising three CSP power-tower units in California's Mojave desert, was designed and developed by BrightSource Energy, and is owned by NRG, BrightSource and Google.
