Effectively immediately, Sunrun has “ceased all operations” in Nevada, resulting in “hundreds of job losses”, the San Francisco-based company said in a statement.

Sunrun’s announcement comes a day after larger rival SolarCity said it had eliminated 550 jobs in Nevada. Both companies have said they would attempt to relocate workers to other states.

Sunrun, which went public in 2015, differs from SolarCity by working with local installers in addition to maintaining its own in-house installation crews.
