Al-Afandi Solar will build the 24,800-square-metre facility at the Industrial Valley of the King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah.
It will combine all stages of the panel manufacturing process, including wafers, cells and modules, and is expected to be operational this year.
The contract was signed by Alaa Nassif, chief executive of Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission at Yanbu, and Al-Afandi Solar director Ibrahim Al-Afandi.
