The Gurgaon-based consultancy expects a similarly “muted response” to SECI’s tenders for 440MW in Uttar Pradesh, 250MW in Gujarat and 500MW in Andhra Pradesh, which are set to begin at some point under the Viability Gap Funding (VGF) scheme in the next two months.

“The SECI tender has two key differences in comparison to other recent tenders, which are likely to result in higher tariff (or VGF) expectations for developers,” it says, noting that smaller projects, relatively poor solar resources and high solar-park fees could dampen enthusiasm for the upcoming tenders.

Since
