Tokyo-based Orix and Fukuoka-based Kyudenko will reportedly form a special purpose company (SPC) with Beltecno Energy and Hokuto Denko to build the project in Soma, Fukushima — an area that is still reeling from the impact of the earthquake and tsunami that crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant in 2011.

It is not clear which company will supply the 200,000 solar modules that will be used for the project.
