Earlier this year, it selected a consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power and Spain’s TSK to construct the second, 200MW phase of the project, following a record-low bid of $0.058/kWh.
The initial, 13MW phase of the project started generating electricity in 2013.
