Origis Energy will develop a 52MW facility in Sumrall in southern Mississippi; Strata Solar will develop a 50MW facility near Hattiesburg; and Mississippi Power, developer Hannah Solar and the US Navy are partnering on a 3-4-MW project to be located at The Naval Construction Battalion Center (Seabee Base) in Gulfport.
Together, these new solar facilities will produce the amount of energy used annually by approximately 15,500 homes.
