The State Council – the country’scabinet – has set an annual installation target of 10GW for the next threeyears, it said in a statement.
The 35GW goal was mooted in China earlierthis year, but has now received the endorsement of its top administrative body.
China currently has about 8GWof PV in place. As recently as August 2012 the target was set at 21GW, itself a40% boost on the previous official goal, moves seen as providing some relief tothe nation’s beleaguered PV manufacturers.
