Earlier this year, California utility regulators approved the procurement plan, which SDG&E would implement by 2022. At least 200MW would come from so-called preferred resources that include energy efficiency, demand response, renewables, combined heat and power, and distributed generation.
SDG&E also included a 25MW carve-out for energy storage among its preferred resources.
