GE Renewable Energy has named Jan Kjaersgaard to succeed John Lavelle as the head of its offshore wind business.
Kjaersgaard – who joins GE from a stint in the cement and steel sectors but previously held senior executive role at Siemens Wind Power – was involved in some of the first utility-scale offshore wind projects in European waters while working at Bonus Energy (bought by Siemens in 2004).
