Party leader Caroline Lucas swept to victory in the Brighton Pavilion seat earlier this year with a majority of 1,252 votes over her nearest rival, Labour's Nancy Platts.
The general election win was a breakthrough for the Green Party after more than 20 years of campaigning in Britain.
