The government has set aside £860m ($1.39bn) to cover the RHI through 2020, which it claims will unlock another £4.5bn in private spending.
Running through late 2012, the initial phase of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will target major non-domestic heat users – mainly industrial, commercial and public sector buildings.
