It is the second major California project to be sold by Tessera in recent months, erasing what appeared last autumn to be a promising 1.4GW pipeline of permitted Stirling dish engine projects. The company, a unit of Dublin-based NTR, sold its 663.5MW Calico project to K Road Power in December.
“AES Solar intends to move the [Imperial Valley] project forward and is committed to working with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) to fulfill its obligations under the power purchase agreement,” Tessera says in a statement.
The
