Suzlon will install the windfarms for Hindustan Zinc, a subsidiary of London-listed Vedanta, in a bid to reduce its carbon footprint and make it eligible for Clean Development Mechanism funding.
The first 50MW will be in place by March, with the remainder due to come on line by September. Suzlon intends to use a combination of its S82-1.5MW and S88-2.1MW turbines.
