Suntech profit rockets on sales increase, equity gains

Vertically integrated Chinese PV manufacturer Suntech Power Holdings pulled in net income of $383.4m in the fourth quarter, up dramatically from the quarter- and year-earlier periods on increased sales and a major gain from equity in the Global Solar Fund.
