The construction of new subsea ICs will have many beneficial impacts for Ireland – most notably for the renewables sector, according to an analysis by the Economic and Social Research Institute, a Dublin-based think tank.
But such ICs will come with a host of unintended and unwelcome consequences if the current renewables support regime is not altered, the report concludes.
