Salazar pledges final Cape Wind ruling by AprilSalazar hosted meetings with project proponents, municipalities, Native American groups and other stakeholders in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday in an attempt to find “a common sense agreement” on ways to mitigate the project’s impact on historic and cultural resources.

Salazar announced the meetings earlier this month, shortly after the National Parks Service said Nantucket Sound, where the 130-turbine project is planned, may be placed on the National Register of Historic Places for its historic and cultural significance to Native American tribes.
