The preliminary deal marks a breakthrough for PNE and for Gode Wind 2, which, despite being in an advanced stage of planning, has struggled to reach financial close this year.
Brancor, which specialises in the energy and healthcare sectors, will pay €317,000 ($409,500) per MW, indicating a total purchase price of about €80m. That figure includes the “already invested development costs”, according to PNE.
