The Nevada company says revenues in this segment were down by nearly half after an “exceptionally strong” 2009 performance, because of lower customer orders. The company expects segment revenue in 2011 to be roughly in the range of the $81.4 brought in last year.
Ormat’s revenue from electricity generation grew 15.5% year over year to $291.8m.
“The significant resources we have invested in the acquisition, exploration and development of new leases, as well as project enhancements, are reflected in the steady growth of our total generation,” says chief executive Dita Bronicki.
