One-year Treasury grant extension added to Senate tax bill

The US renewable energy industry can tentatively breathe a sigh of relief as a concerted effort of Democrat lawmakers has succeeded in adding an extension of the most important federal support for wind and solar projects to a pending bill that would extend the Bush-era tax cuts.
