Obama vows 'no sacrifice' of key clean energy plans to cuts

Fresh from a budget battle that looks to have saved a key clean energy programme, US President Barack Obama is pledging to protect “core investments” in renewables development as he seeks to trim the federal deficit by $4trn over the next 12 years.
