Chung is resigning to “pursue other opportunities”, according to Shanghai-based JA.
Analysts say the resignation is not surprising given that Chung was being paid primarily in stock options.
Shares in JA dipped to $4.56 on 12 June, down from $9.85 last October. Like many PV manufacturers, JA’s share price is under pressure as the cost of PV components plunges due to the painful combination of soft demand in key European markets and an inventory glut.
