SolarNet’s businesses include DC Power Systems, the largest privately-held distributor of solar energy systems in the US and project integrator Stellar Energy Solutions. Itochu says it has been implemented a global strategy to expand in the solar sector since 2006. It has made a series of acquisitions since then, including California based wholesale distributor Solar Depot in 2007.
Itochu says that the combined market share of Solar Depot and DC Power will give it the largest solar distribution network in the US.
