Hopes of PTC extension dim as US tax cut deal emerges

A deal emerging in Congress to extend payroll tax cuts appears not to include an extension of the expiring wind-energy Production Tax Credit (PTC) – potentially delivering a devastating blow to the US wind industry's prospects beyond 2012.
