As part of its fourth quarter 2010 financial report, the US industrial giant said it had orders for 477 turbines in the quarter compared to 729 in the same quarter of 2009. But the company saw services orders increase.
The US wind industry overall is braced for a decline in 2010 installed capacity of as much as 50%.
The wind business is part of GE’s large Energy segment.
