Construction has begun on the Webberville Solar project, located on utility-owned land east of Austin. It is targeted for completion by the end of the year.
Trina Solar is supplying 270W PV modules, which will be installed on single-axis trackers. Trina says the supply agreement is for approximately 35MW of panels with deliveries to begin this quarter.
FRV – a global independent power producer owned by GE Energy Financial Services, Landon Group and Qualitas Venture Capital – secured construction debt from Bayerische Landesbank, a German commercial lender.
