The Palouse Wind project, to be built in Whitman County, will be supported by a $170m construction and term facility loan, and $40m letters of credit. The deal is backed by KeyBank National Association, serving as joint lead arranger and administrative agent, with joint lead arrangers Nordduetsche Landesbank Giorzentrale, CoBank ACB and Banco Santander.
The project, using 58 Vestas 1.8MW turbines, has a power purchase agreement with Spokane utility Avista.
