In doing so it has ensured that the delayed project will finally move forward, though its role may be considerably diminished compared to what it first envisaged.
The Arizona-based firm signed a memorandum of understanding with China Guangdong Nuclear in Beijing on 5 January to jointly build the project’s first 30MW phase.
The company first uncorked a deal with the local government in September 2009, but the project has not budged since.
