Having fallen preciptiously over the past few years, Evergreen says the average sales price of its modules slid another 6% to $1.90 per watt during the fourth quarter of 2010 – while its manufacturing costs rose modestly to $1.92 per watt.
Evergreen blames the increase in production costs on duties assessed on the imported aluminium frames used in its panels. As a result of the increase, its quarterly gross margin slipped into the red.
